The Scavenger Hunt Proposal Idea
This is a fun idea that can be as elaborate or as simple as you like. A treasure hunt.
- Take 2 pieces of your puzzle. Hide one and on the back of the other write a clue to help them find the hidden piece.
- Each piece they find should have a clue that leads to the next piece.
- The final piece or pieces should have the “Will You Marry Me” displayed on them. Doing this ensures the reason you are having them participate in the treasure hunt isn’t discovered halfway through by accident.
Your treasure hunt could simply be played out in your own house or a property, or you could get quite elaborate and hide the pieces of the puzzle all over your town or city.
How you conduct the treasure hunt is up to you; you could have them go on their own exciting adventure or you could keep them company as they search for each mysterious puzzle piece.
If you do decide to send them off on their own adventure, a romantic way to conclude this special moment is to have you waiting at the location of the last piece and when they find it, drop to one knee and ask the question!
Another way to make the treasure hunt really special is to hide the pieces of the puzzle in the locations that mean something to you both, It might be the place you first kissed, or perhaps your favourite park.
Tip: If your treasure hunt is across a large city or town, adding the coordinates for each puzzle piece as a longitude and latitude, will help your special person find the general direction that the puzzle piece has been hidden, helping them find the piece within that general area.

The Bookmark Proposal Idea

If your loved one uses a bookmark, for a bit of fun, discretely slip a puzzle piece into the book where the bookmark is sitting, then watch them wanting to get to the next chapter toot sweet.

The Secret Admirer Proposal Idea
Appropriate for the 'Will you have lunch' or 'Will you have dinner' with me puzzles.
This proposal idea is great if you like a special someone or you're wanting to start a relationship.
Anonymously, place a puzzle piece somewhere where the object of your affection will find it. Make sure it's conspicuous enough to ensure that they know it was placed there on purpose.
For example, if it's a colleague at work, you might want to leave it on their keyboard or if it's a friend that you visit from time to time, you might place the jigsaw puzzle piece somewhere conspicuous in the house or under their pillow.
Make sure you hide further puzzle pieces in the exact same place so that the person you love or like will know that this is intentional. With this proposal idea, giving the last piece is where all the fun happens as you reveal yourself as the secret admirer.
When you leave the final piece asking to have dinner or lunch with you, you can either leave a sweet note or card to go with the last puzzle piece or write your name on the back of the final piece so that the object of your affection knows that it has come from you.
Alternatively for an added level of romance, before you give the first piece, you might like to write a note on the back of each of the puzzle pieces about a time and place that you would like to meet, as they put the pieces together, the message on the back begins to form, then when they come to meet you for the destination rendezvous, they will finally get to meet in person, their mysterious romantic puzzle piece giver...

(If you’re anything like me, it’s probably more likely that the final presentation piece would be presented at the very start of the night – I’d be too excited!)
Alternatively, if your future bride or groom loves to be swept off their feet, you might like to turn up in person to give the last special piece as a surprise… this is a little risky as you might arrive the weekend they decide to go up the coast. But who cares, you’re spontaneous, if you get there and they're not around, hire a car and drive to them… it’ll make it that much more of a surprise. What a story to tell your grandkids!
Tip: Building anticipation over days or weeks can help you get the answer you are looking for by giving the one you love enough time to adjust to the idea of what is likely to be the biggest decision of their life! It's not only a good idea, but also a loving thing to do.
