One of the most delightful ways of proposing with the proposal puzzle is over a meal with your loved one!
Out to a romantic restaurant dinner, or a cosy home cooked supper, adding a surprise proposal puzzle to the evening can be a fun and memorable way of popping the question, not to mention super sweet and unexpected!
The desired way of proposing with a Proposal Puzzle is to give the love of your life the puzzle board to start with and a pile of puzzle pieces in between courses.
Or you could loosely place all the pieces in an elegant little gift box or a cute pouch, then hand over the endearing treat for piecing.
As a loving spectator, you will take pleasure in watching your soon to be fiancée piece together this unique moment in time which is sure to stir up euphoric emotions for the both of you!
Perhaps, make it happen later into the evening, whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine or a bubbly by the fire...
Tip: Make sure you hold back the final 'marry me' piece to pass for the final reveal.
One of the great things about proposing like this is that it's an instant way of giving your loved one all the puzzle pieces at once or sparingly, instead of giving them one piece at a time over a number of days or weeks as suggested by our other proposal ideas.
This proposal idea gives them all the puzzle pieces in a couple of minutes, giving you both instant gratification!
To add a bit of romance to the gesture, you can hop off your seat, drop to one knee and hand over the last piece of the puzzle, followed by the ring!

The Proposal Puzzle is carry/travel friendly and comes gifted with a luxury pouch with dashing ribbon to hold your special pieces!
This is a fun idea that can be as elaborate or as simple as you like. A treasure hunt.
Your treasure hunt could simply be played out in your own house or a property, or you could get quite elaborate and hide the pieces of the puzzle all over your town or city.
How you conduct the treasure hunt is up to you; you could have them go on their own exciting adventure or you could keep them company as they search for each mysterious puzzle piece.
If you do decide to send them off on their own adventure, a romantic way to conclude this special moment is to have you waiting at the location of the last piece and when they find it, drop to one knee and ask the question!
Another way to make the treasure hunt really special is to hide the pieces of the puzzle in the locations that mean something to you both, It might be the place you first kissed, or perhaps your favourite park.
Tip: If your treasure hunt is across a large city or town, adding the coordinates for each puzzle piece as a longitude and latitude, will help your special person find the general direction that the puzzle piece has been hidden, helping them find the piece within that general area.
This idea is very similar to geocaching.

Does the one you love like to read? This proposal idea might be right for you.
If your loved one uses a bookmark, for a bit of fun, discretely slip a puzzle piece into the book where the bookmark is sitting, then watch them wanting to get to the next chapter toot sweet.
Placing a puzzle piece, one by one, on separate occasions in a book or magazine they are currently reading is one example of how you could strategically place a puzzle piece.
This proposal idea is ideal if you are wanting to ask that special somebody out to lunch or dinner, that is, if you have access to something they use or see regularly, such as a keyboard.

This is also a great idea if you're wanting to ask someone special to move in with you, for example, when you're visiting their place just hide a puzzle piece somewhere where you know they will find it, perhaps under their pillow...

Tip: This idea works best if the place you are leaving the puzzle piece is somewhere they are going to find it in a short amount of time.
Appropriate for the 'Will you have lunch' or 'Will you have dinner' with me puzzles.
This proposal idea is great if you like a special someone or you're wanting to start a relationship.
Anonymously, place a puzzle piece somewhere where the object of your affection will find it. Make sure it's conspicuous enough to ensure that they know it was placed there on purpose.
For example, if it's a colleague at work, you might want to leave it on their keyboard or if it's a friend that you visit from time to time, you might place the jigsaw puzzle piece somewhere conspicuous in the house or under their pillow.
Make sure you hide further puzzle pieces in the exact same place so that the person you love or like will know that this is intentional. With this proposal idea, giving the last piece is where all the fun happens as you reveal yourself as the secret admirer.
When you leave the final piece asking to have dinner or lunch with you, you can either leave a sweet note or card to go with the last puzzle piece or write your name on the back of the final piece so that the object of your affection knows that it has come from you.
Alternatively for an added level of romance, before you give the first piece, you might like to write a note on the back of each of the puzzle pieces about a time and place that you would like to meet, as they put the pieces together, the message on the back begins to form, then when they come to meet you for the destination rendezvous, they will finally get to meet in person, their mysterious romantic puzzle piece giver...
How you use the secret admirer proposal idea is really up to you; boisterous or conservative, find the style that suits to communicate your affection to that special person.

So, you have been talking on the phone, sending lots of emails, perhaps a Love letter or two....
The time is right and as time goes by, the more convinced you are that spending the rest of your life with this person is something you are now longing for, but how do you go from where you are now to happily ever after?
This is where a proposal puzzle comes into play...
From our range, select your favourite Marry Me puzzle and then start writing a letter weekly to the love of your life. Share your thoughts, your passions and most importantly, a piece of your puzzle – remember this is done weekly.
Tip: Hold back the ‘Marry’ piece until the very end!
Make sure your loved one knows they need to hold on to each piece.
For a classy touch, refrain from sending any puzzle piece until after your second letter is sent. Doing this will make it less obvious that the reason you are writing, is so that you can send these pieces one by one without being conspicuous.
If you really want the grand gesture – and let’s face it, if you were ever going to, this is the time to do it, hold on to the last piece and deliver it in person. How you do this last bit is up to you, custom design this gesture the way you like!
In your second letter, you might like to invite your future soul mate out to dinner and present them with the final Question piece, The ('Marry') Piece. Present this towards the end of the night. (If you’re anything like me, it’s probably more likely that the final presentation piece would be presented at the very start of the night – I’d be too excited!)
Alternatively, if your future bride or groom loves to be swept off their feet, you might like to turn up in person to give the last special piece as a surprise… this is a little risky as you might arrive the weekend they decide to go up the coast. But who cares, you’re spontaneous, if you get there and they're not around, hire a car and drive to them… it’ll make it that much more of a surprise. What a story to tell your grandkids!
Tip: Building anticipation over days or weeks can help you get the answer you are looking for by giving the one you love enough time to adjust to the idea of what is likely to be the biggest decision of their life! It's not only a good idea, but also a loving thing to do.
Using a proposal puzzle this way makes this easy. It’s also a great way to make the most of this special time in your relationship!
